"Well," says Mbeki, "your supporters are STUPID”Zuma frowns. "But how do I know the people around me are really stupid?"Mbeki sighs and says. "Oh, that's easy.
You just ask them to do a simple task."Like this. "Julius please go down to the reception on the ground floor and check if Zuma and I are there?
"Malema runs off like a puppy to please his master to the ground floor. Returns 7 mins later tired and panting. No my baas you both are not thereMbeki smiles. "See what I mean”Zuma acknowledges” This silly ass should have used the lift”

Bullying Party Drama continues (ANC)

ROME IS THE MOB,WIN THE CROWD, THEN YOU WILL WIN THEIR HEARTS & THEN ULTIMATELY YOUR FREEDOM" quote from Gladiator. Thats how a dancing fool like Jacob Zuma is going to be the next president of our country and avoid jailtime. Undeniably Thabo Mbeki is not a man of the people, but he is the man for the people.

The decision by the ANC put everything in perspective that South Africa is a company,Thabo Mbeki is the chairman, the ANC are the board of directors, big business are the stakeholders and the people are merely the employees. Like any other company the board bases their decisions for the benefit or intrests of the board and stakeholders. In this case the chairman gets fired for beig sympathetic to the needs of the employees.

The ANC, serves the ANC and the decision was made in their best intrest and not the people. Why i wrote this note you ask? Maybe to change the status quo, we should all start giving a damn, i know that i didnt.........
here is the new meaning of ANC ( Africans Not Certain) we will never know whats next..

Ruling Party gone loco

"The Bill of Rights, enshrined in the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, Act 108 of 1996, provides all of us with the right to express our views explicitly so, without any fear or intimidation. This is the South Africa that we live in, and part of the Democracy that many before us laid their lives for. I am very disturbed by your statement that people must stop worrying about things they dont understand. I think you have completely missed the point.

Mbeki was a principled man. He set a vision and a way forward and stuck to it with aplomb. Yes, he made blunders in the process. But were these blunders worth impeachment? He couldnt have been impeached because there were no grounds for such a process, hence this barbaric route. I agree, Mbeki (the person) needed to go so that we could get fresh ideas. But was it necessary to humiliate him, bearing in mind that he was left with only six months to wind down his business in govt. I'm quite disappointed at the current subjective politics at play. What is Zuma's principled stand? What is he bringing to the table? We cant follow Zuma (the person) blindfoldedly. We needed to have known his political and economic intentions before falling for him. I have used the term 'the person' to highlight his subjective state. Where I used his name only, I referred to his stand, his principle and his vision. That is what I think we should be looking at, their objective states.

You tell people not to play media politics yet you yourself explicitly do the exact. Mbeki issued a statement about HIV/AIDS that was misrepresented by the media and in the process your fell prey as well. All he said was that we cannot attack HIV as the sole cause of AIDS. This literally meant that HIV/AIDS is a social and lifestyle pandemic that was exacerbated by the ills of our socio-economic landscape. With Poverty as a leading factor, South Africans were at a much riskier position to be infected due to unemployment, a lack of economic means to upgrade themselves and a further lack of extramural activities, amongst others. And once infected, our fellow brothers and sisters would not be able to afford medication and the necessary ancillary products to manage the disease.

Instead of looking at the object of Blue's argument, you raised a couple of race issues. My brother, the people you have stated in your argument, Wouter Basson, the Waterkloof boys, the Swartruggens boy, etc were all charged and had their day in court. Not only did they have their day in court but all charges against them were tested and they were duly convicted. Remember the South African Judiciary is independent. The question of why their sentences were lenient is valid but that should be addresses to the Judiciary. The object of the matter here is why cant one man, who has 783 charges raised against him, be prosecuted. Is it because he is a populist? He must clear his name so that we cannot have an embarrassing situation of having to defend him to the world once he is elected president.

Yes, Zuma will have advisers. Why then choose a lame duck as a president. Why not choose a competent individual who'll need minimal advisory requirements? Here is a simple definition of competency to trigger your mind. "The quality of being adequately or well qualified physically and intellectually to perform duties assigned to you without unnecessary supervision and guidance". Do you honestly think that out of 43 million people in our country, we lack a better individual? And a clean one for that matter.

Lastly, due to our political background, one must be aware that white-on-black attacks wont be eradicated completely just yet. We still have angry white boere who might still attack us from time to time. But we must fight against that with all we have. But to have black brothers humiliating a fellow brother like this is very disheartening, especially at that level. I honestly never thought it would happen so soon in our infant democracy.

But all in all, my brother, we might differ in our outlook, but that does not mean I undermine your view point. One of the few agreements that I share with you regrading the current state of affairs is that we disagree on various aspects. Much respect!!!

I remain...

Our Country the Banana Republic

Heita,

I'm sorry to dissappoint you, but its not that way. First you need to understand our politics, not media politics. Things will unfold as time goes on & hopefully u'll understand why. Yes we agree Mbeki studied in UK and Zuma is a practical man, If I may ask, why can't they probe or do an enquiry into the arms deal? Read a lot of Makiavelli's Theories, you'll learn that the world is not what you think it is? They say to rule Rome you needed the mob, that's why Roman laws are still used today in our courts, this proves that the mob is the country, who don't need your UK education, but a reasonable and realistic man. As a President you have advisors, whether school or no school like George W Bush Jnr, whom some of u love ,maybe is it because he is white or you need another white person to praise Zuma in the coming years, then he will be accepted. He is an idiot when he did what? Your so called intellegent Mr Mbeki, didn't understand HIV/AIDS, but nobody said anything. Zuma was wrongly charged for rape yet found not guilty, the NPA is still trying to prosecute him, but Mark Thecther, son of Margret Thatcher, u're former colonist got a R700k fine, someone who was going to cause wars that kill our brothers & sisters, the Boeremark are still on trial, what are u saying about it, Woutter Basson is a free man, because he help CIA with the HIV spreading around the continent & maybe who knows with his help it was created, yet u cry about someone whom they are not sure whether he got a cut of R500k, waist states money to prosecute him, which costs more than R500k, the problem about the so called black intellectuals is that they are trying to be white or western, but not themselves. That's why a lot of black people miss the point, a white person stands with his brother whether right or wrong in front of the public, but when they are together he will advise him positively, yet we black people are quick to prosecute our fellow brothers, without understanding, the Waterkloof boys got less than 7yrs for killing your fellow brother, did you send us e-mails? NO, that white farmer killed your brother & fed him to the Lions, he spended not even more two years, did u send us e-mails? No, that boy from Swartruggens went on a killing spree killing your black brothers & sisters, did u send us e-mails, No. Stop worrying about things u don't understand, worry about the way u're going to change the private sector from using, lying, not transferring skills, because they know that a black man is quick to put his brother down, because we trying to be them. Did the white cry about their brothers during the apartheid era, No, instead they claim they were not happy, but they enjoyed the benefits,Bra let's build the country and stop worrying about Zuma, he'll have advisors as well, to help him run the country. UK & America have invested a lot of money & they won't allow South Africa to go down that easy, lastly out of so many billions of the arms deal, you want to tell me u will you're time prosecuting someone who chowed R500k, why don't you look for the big fish, they can't because the truth stinks! Americans government lied to their people & attacked Iraq, I guess you know why? OIL for their companies, INDIVIDUALISM, yet I guess its right, because its an informed moron within the ruling part. See me at the polling stations, shoot me. ha ha ha

Chinese are BLACK?

Dear colligues and friends
I have been away from the cyberworld for quite a while. As we all know, a brother has to earn a living. I'm currently working hard with the SA Red Cross Society, we are trying to improve lives of fellow humans.
During my break from blogging, I read an interesting article "Chinese are BLACK" i almost fell off my chair. It goes further saying that they qualify for BEE status, funny isn't it? What should we call them? Blackanese or what?. I Guess our Cabinet is confused. talk of freedom fighters, was any of them Chinese? and what is it that we south africans owe China. Well they are good at flooding our markets with low quality goods and products. Jobs are lost due to the activities of Chinese business men, they import their fong-kongs for us instead of using locals to manufacture those goods. The idea would bring scarce jobs to our communities and lessen race related hatred. I for one don't support Asian invasion of our markets by counterfeit goods. If Chinese qualify for BEE status, what about fellow Africans we've been beating up, are they not black enough or just too dark for our slippery economy?
imagine queing for an RDP house behind a Chinese, a home affairs official asks the small fellow:
What can I do for you Sir?
Chinese guy: Sem ting
Whats your name Sir?
Chinese guy: Sem ting
What a mess, whatever people in parliament are smoking, let it stay illegal, otherwise there wont be peace.
I have nothing against the Chinese but have a thousand issues about them claiming to be black. Im black and proud and can't share my identity with a Chinese national. NEVER, OVER MY DEAD BODY.
There is BEE now Black is fashionable, ps stay Chinese we won't fight to be Chinese if there is CEE( Chinese Economic Empowerment).
Verwoerd should be smiling in his grave, joke of the century

WOMEN AND RIGHTS VS CULTURE AND RELIGION

The case of Zimbabwean woman Venia Magaya is well-known in Southern Africa. Magaya brought a legal case contesting eviction from the house she had been living in all the way to the Supreme Court. Magaya’s half-brother forced her to leave the home she had been living in when her father passed away, and argued to the court that women could not inherit the same as men. Magaya lost. The court gave precedence to customary law over the bill of rights. They ruled that women could not be equal to men before the law because of African cultural norms and "the nature of African society," making customary law immune from the non-discrimination clause. A characteristic feature of the legal systems of all the Southern African Development Community (SADC) countries is the co-existence of customary and religious laws alongside the perceived European law. A clause that makes explicit the supremacy of constitutional rights over customary, religious or other laws in the SADC Protocol on Gender and Development being reviewed at the upcoming Heads of State Summit in August will be an important yardstick for countries to measure against in their ongoing law reform processes. The SADC Protocol Alliance, comprised of more than 16 organisations and experts from the region, is calling for the Protocol to state explicitly that where there are contradictions between customary law and Constitutional provisions for gender equality the latter is given precedence. The reality for most women in Southern Africa is that constitutional and legal provisions mean very little because in reality customary and or religious laws govern their lives. Thus, for women to have meaningful legal protection, their rights must be enshrined in laws that are not open to interpretation.

IN NEED OF JUSTICE

Was any of these people punished? If so what are the proceedings todate?

They should be held accountable for xenophobic attacks in their area. Anybody with info regarding the isue, please let us know.

REFUGEES OR IMMIGRANTS?

What do we call our fellow Africans? Is the media correct by calling Xenophobia Survivors refugees. From a government point of view, what do we call them and why?

MAN KILLED FOR A BUBBLEGUM

"A South african man killed for a bubblegum" That's the Daily Sun, Monday 9th June 2008.
The article goes as far as stating that the victim was murdered by a Somali businessman after an arguement over a flavoured bubblegum, it later states that the victim is a SouthAfrican and the Somali businessman has fled since the incident. However the newspaper ignores the fact that it could be fuelling xenophobic attacks in the Eastern Cape. Shouldn't the Daily Sun, as SA's biggest selling daily newspaper practice responsible reporting( Journalism)? This article could lead to another spate of fresh attacks on foregn nationals. This is just one of their silly articles and they do cause harm in all aspects.
People lets try to keep such hate stories off our newpapers, they breed anger and hatred instead of uniting people.
Should the media continue publishing these stories, that may leave other people in danger?

WE NEED TO END VIOLENCE

We need to end the Violence
By El Supreme

We need to end the violence that seems to rule our lives, the violence that crucified the peace and shot dead our public safety, raping our liberty and freedom to be who we are, free beings.

We need to end the violence; we need to end the violence that separates us from our humanity leaving us drowning in a river of insanity, killing our brothers and sisters, showing no mercy or pity. It doesn’t matter if it happens in the village, the township or the city. We need to end the violence. Subtract it from our reality, the violence in the streets, the homes, families, workplaces, in our relationships, now the violence is rising in our schools and universities.

We need to end the violence, and put an end to the deafening silence, by facing the issues and dealing with the hate, anger and pain that’s in our presence, for in essence we’re all food of the same pot, flowers of the same garden and birds of the same feather, only we don’t flock together, brother kills sister, sister kills brother, parent rapes and imprisons daughter, brother treats brother like stranger.

Not being able to deal with the phobia and anger, we hurt those we want to control and overpower, we verbally abuse those we claim to love and ridicule those in serious need of encouragement, love and support.

We need to end the violence, that pierces the souls of the deceased’ s surviving family, wondering why do their loved ones have to die, leaving so many to cry.
This violence that some claim is our inheritance, natural, masculine, manly and normal needs to be punched in the face and kicked in the behind, to feel a taste of its own violence, but No, we will not stoop that low, lest we be just the same to those that perpetrate the violence. We shall peacefully, March like a great army of soldiers ready for mighty battle.
We shall make mention of the inequalities that fuels and sponsors this violence. We shall take a stand against all forms of abuse and violence especially on our women and children. We shall let know those who deal in violence that to them we pledge No allegiance, but wish and strive for the transformation and we shall condemn all violent actions against our fellow African brothers, who’re called foreigners, yet being children of our beloved Mother continent Africa.
We shall stand against discrimination and violent murders our brothers and sisters suffer due their sexual orientation, color of skin and country of origin. We shall fight in peace and love to reclaim the sanity of this great African Nation.

We shall amend dangerous cultural belief and religious systems that feed and fatten this monster violence. We shall create new cultures of Love, tolerance, acceptance, compassion and a spirit of good human relation.

For we truly need to end this Violence. It’s a matter of emergency. We need to end this violence.

XENOPHOBIA AND THE BLIND?

See no Evil, Hear Evil, Feel Evil. Thats what our blind counterparts are going through. Held at a Shelter in Jeppe downtown Joburg, they have no where to go, no one to tell their stories to and yet they have to adopt to a new cold and cruel invironment.
ARE THESE POOR BLIND PEOPLE STEALING OUR JOBS, WOMEN, HOUSES, GRANTS, FOOD, MEDICINES?
This is what I ask mysel everyday, even them as helpless and harpless as they are we still attcked them and stole the little they had, now their only belonging is fear and hope. They hope things will be calm or atleast they will get a meal from kind donors ,and they fear if they go out of the shelter, the abuse will continue.
How do we help? Is anything being done about the blind? I challenge every reasonable South African to help put their misery to an end. Let us treat them with dignity and show them love.
THIS IS PAINFUL TOO TO IGNORE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WHAT HAPPENS TO THESE VICTIMS?

In the wave of xenophobic violence that swept across South Africa in the past weeks, more than 50 people have died, hundreds are injured, and thousands displaced. While the perpetrators of the xenophobic violence in South Africa have not differentiated based on gender or age in their attacks on foreigners, there is a gender perspective to xenophobia getting lost in the midst of the horror. There have been reports of rape in the midst of the general perpetration of xenophobic violence. Rape in conflict situations serves to dominate and tame not only the women survivors who are its immediate victims, but also all the men that are socially connected to them by delivering the message that they are not strong enough to protect their women. Rape can be a political tool of xenophobia; or an act of opportunistic criminal violence against a woman because of her gender, under the guise of xenophobia. It is likely that many xenophobia-related rapes are unreported.
LETS REPORT THESE INCIDENCES TO THE AUTHORITIES SO THAT THESE INNOCENT PEOPLE COULD GET HELP.

HIV/AIDS IS THERE A CURE

Is there a cure for HIV/AIDS?, not that I know of. How do we stop this desease from spreading?
Our brothers, sisters, mothers and fathers are dying daily yet we continue to be ignorant. People who are infected are in most cases treated inhumanly and made to feel less important. How do we teach our people about AIDS and how is contracted. Stigma makes it difficult for those infected and affected to talk about their status or people they know. Children quit school because they are jeered upon at schools because of a family member who is infected and that means that the children maybe negative but still they are affected.
Lets stop the hate, stigma and arrogance.

A NATION IN FLAMES ...

DOES THIS IMPRESS ANYONE?

What have we become?

RAPE AND ABUSE IN OUR HOMES?

Would you do this to someone do this to people?

Live them homeless, Rape them, kill them or Abuse them. Definitely not me, a man respects life and love people. A real man doesn't hurt the desperate or kill them. A real man doesn't rape or abuse anyone in any way.
Lets be real MEN.
WHAT DO WE DO TO THESE CULPRITS?
